Our 3-star hotel is open 24/7, and has a large private parking lot also open 24/7. We are part of the new generation of Kyriad hotels: environmentally friendly with respect for natural resources, we meet the various criteria regarding water, energy, waste and cleaning products. We are easily accessible by the beltway, 50 yards from the hotel (exit 13, Porte d’Espagne), and enjoy a strategic location near major stores (Leclerc half a mile away and Carrefour 3 miles away), the major transit sites (Caen train station is 5 and a half miles away, Caen-Carpiquet Airport is 10 miles away) and tourist sites (the D-Day beaches are 12 miles from the hotel).

An Affordable 3-Star Hotel
Our Kyriad hotel offers 57 cozy non-smoking rooms. All rooms have a private bathroom with hair dryer (towels and toiletries provided) as well as a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. In addition, a courtesy tray with tea, coffee, cookies and a kettle is provided in your room.

Our hotel has single rooms, double rooms and some family rooms for 3 or 4 people. Some family rooms include connecting rooms. Also, our establishment has the Handicap Tourism Label since we are wheelchair accessible and have specially adapted rooms for people with reduced mobility (with amenities like a telephone and remote control with a large keypad, the possibility of having an alarm clock for the visually impaired and hearing impaired, etc.).

When we arrived at the hotel the reception had closed early. There was an automated check-in machine outside that recognized our booking, but the machine would not release our key unless we paid for the room again by credit card. After a long car journey with two children we had no option but to pay again and talk to the reception staff in the morning. The next day the reception staff refused to issue a refund and just kept saying that they would sort it out later. We have now returned home from our trip and received the credit card bill showing we were charged.

Had to be moved to another room as the electrics totally failed . Communications limited to one staff member with any command of English (N.B.She`s often absent).
Must say though , place has improved somewhat since our earlier unplanned stay in 2017:shower works and window opens Essentially, hotel does a good job for the unfussy, wanting a quick over-night stop -but wouldn't`t recommend it for anything longer. Will give it another bash this year as convenient for picking up N158 for the South.

Our room was stuffy with a dreadful shower which was not fit for purpose.
The carpet was filthy and when we left we had with us more than when we had arrived in the form of something unseen by the naked eye!
We scratched and itched and felt very uncomfortable.
You might ask why we had stayed there and put up with such conditions so I will tell you.
We had little choice as we were attending a family funeral and were at the mercy of the car ferry and other considerations. Such a pity because Kyriads were once very decent stopovers, always clean and often with good food. How things seem to have changed. We never choose this chain now. So sorry to be so negative but this was our experience.

A very basic hotel, with no diining facilities for evening meals. This was espeacially difficult since we were travelling on May 1st, which in France is Labour Day and no other restaurants were open since it was a bank holiday. The only food outleats near by were Subway and MacDonalds. The gentleman on the recpetion was not very helpful in suggesting where we might dine, just shrugging his shoilders.

Stayed here whilst on a Ledger coach trip, so it was mostly just somewhere to crash my face into a pillow.
A nice clean room, with a comfy bed and a really good shower. The room was cleaned every day, with the coffee and biscuits being replenished.
Some complain about the location as the hotel does seem to be out in the sticks, but if all you are needing is a place to put your head down, then this is ideal.
