In winter, our hotel provides easy access to the major resorts in the Alps: Val Thorens, Val d’Isère, Courchevel, La Plagne, Les Arcs. The Carré Curial, a few steps from the hotel, is home to Espace Malraux, with its concerts and shows, the Curial movie theater and the Jean-Jacques Rousseau media library. The Maison des Parcs et de la Montagne is just a short walk away. Charles Dullin Theater is also a short walk away. Our contemporary, warm establishment has undergone a complete renovationin 2013 and 2014. We welcome you in one of our 104 rooms with 45 fully equipped apartments.* The quadruple room has a large double bed and a double sofa bed.

To allow you to get the most out of your stay, Hotel-Residence Kyriad Chambéry Centre - Curial has 149 rooms and apartments that are entirely renovated and all featuring a kitchenette. Our hotel offers the following configurations for reservation: 42 single superior rooms: apartment T1 for 1 person with a kitchenette, desk area, bathroom with shower or bath, and separate toilet.* 62 superior double rooms: T1 apartment for 1 to 2 people with a kitchenette, desk area, bathroom with shower or bath, and separate toilet.* 45 superior apartments: T2 apartment for 2 to 4 people with a kitchenette, desk area, large double bed (63 inches) and double sofa bed, bathroom with shower or bathtub and separate toilet.* All our apartments feature a kitchenette with a ceramic hub, fridge, microwave and dishes.
All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, courtesy tray, direct dial telephone and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have balconies or terraces. Hotel-Residence Kyriad Chambéry Centre - Curial has 4 rooms specially adapted for people with reduced mobility. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was large, clean, and comfortable. My room had a small kitchenette and a very large outdoor terrace, which was perfect.
I would definitely stay here again.

All the positives:
(1) Location. Within Chambery, at the edge of the old town, which was convenient to everything, including the train staion (Maybe 15 minutes by foot) and the "Alps tourism centre" (3 minutes by foot). Chambéry is perfectly positioned by the Chartreuse and Bauges, we were 20 minutes from Col du Granier where we had a great hike, and also an hour to Lyon and an hour to Annecy.
(2) Parking. I asked about parking and was informed (and reminded at the desk) that the parking garage (3 minutes by foot!) nearby has overnight parking which costs about 4 Euros. For all-day parking, the hotel can provide a discount so it only costs 9 Euros.
(3) The room itself is well constructed. The room has two interior doors and very thick walls, making it impressively soundproof. Really impressed with the thought put into this.
(4) The mattresses are incredibly new and good quality, as are the pillows. The sign on the back of the door (about hotel rates) mentions you can buy the memory foam pillow...so we did! Two, even.
(5) Kitchen nook. Clearly recently renovated. Has enough bowls, utensils, cooking implements, pots pans, a water kettle for tea or coffee, supplies to clean up the dishes and a good place to let the dishes dry, a microwave as well as a stove. Just really well thought out.
(6) Very easy to understand Airconditioning (fan speed and temperature, all you need).
Only negative: the wall could probably use some paint, and they should dust a bit more often. I took the dish-cleaning supplies and did some light dusting.

- We stayed for one night while travelling back to UK from northern Italy. Drive through the Alps was superb. Hotel is easy to find and well located for centre of town. Lucky to park outside while checking in and arranging access to underground car park. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room had small kitchenette behind curtain next to the bed which was pretty novel. Presumably aimed at skiers but not much sign of being used. Thankfully the air con worked well as it was very hot outside. It was a short walk to town centre and the famous elephant fountain. Chambery is a nice place with plenty of restaurants, bars etc. Breakfast was a bit skimpy, nice food but staff seemed reluctant to replenish things when they ran low. No big deal really but an unnecessary negative. All I all perfectly fine for what we needed.

Mercure hotels (Accor chain) are normally clean, reliable, with good location. This was no exception.
Our room was small for the two pieces of 28” luggage that we had. Service was good.
The breakfast was limited and of reasonable quality.
In a few words: no complains.
