Hotel is situated in the middle of a residential area. Room was on 2nd floor with no lift or help with suitcases up the stairs. The room was a good size and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Tv didn’t work though. Bathroom was a reasonable size. There was no restaurant nearby (within walking distance) so we ate in the hotel. The menu was only a choice of 3 dishes per course and 1 main had run out. Weather was hot so we ate outside. Food was very good and good value. Breakfast was a simple continental buffet with no hot options.
Staff were very pleasant.

Friendly man at check in When we arrived late. Hè is more than hospital. But this hotel is very very outdated. The smell in room en some places hotel is not good!! Sewer smell! Rooms are small and as said very outdated and old carpet on the floor
Can not recommend or you just are soooooo tired you sleep and move on

Certes il n'est pas du dernier cris mais nous faisons attention à la propreté de notre établissement.
Vous auriez faire part de ces désagréments au prés de notre réception qui aurai pu vous trouver une solution.

Traveling to the South of France we needed a hotel to stay for one night. Booked the hotel by telephone about 2 hours in advance. This was an easy process. We got disconnected, but I was called back.

The hotel is easy to reach from the Route du Soleil, just south of Lyon.

At the hotel the check-in was very good. When the receptionist noted that one af the travelers was on crutches, he immediately asked If we would like a room on the ground floor and changed accordingly.

The room was not large, but complete and clean. This also applied to the bathroom with a shower.

Breakfast had a good selection.

Check-out was easy as well.

As always I mostly appreciate the core business of a hotel:
decent bed, clean bathroom, nice breakfast.

In almost all aspects this hotel exceeded expectations:
The bed: 90cm x 210!!! with blankets that royally cover you from head to toe: >2m long!
The bathroom: simply clean and functional = good for me.
Breakfast: very good value for money, for ~10 euro you get a good selection of drinks, pastries, cheeses and so on.

And don't expect much more. You can walk to a mall within 500m and that's about it. For business purposes very ok. If you just need a place for one night, you may as well go here. You can be sure to get a good nights rest.

It's a place out of town, from which to access Lyon and the surrounding countryside, which I rate pretty highly for "ballades". Decent bus service into Lyon or the centre of St Genis (a neat little market on Friday mornings), and I recommend the personnel, very friendly.
Ok, so it's a budget hotel, but as such it's clean, the rooms have been re-done since 059 visited, and no, there's no bacon and eggs for breakfast, unless asked for, but try the evening meals with their local wines and it's part of the reason one visits france anyway.
As for Lyon itself, after Paris, it's absolutely my favourite city for culture and diving down those traboules between streets. And eating, obviously.
