- Outdated and dirty furniture. We did not even have phone in our room. We asked at front desk do not enter our room ( since there were noting to display by the front door) but we found later that cleaning lady entered anyway. I was taking shower and water stopped running completely for about 15 minutes ( same happened with at least 3 more rooms in our group). There is only one decent thing about this hotel that it is in walking distance to cathedral. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

- I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my time, a fair few budget ones but this place is not only not that cheap, it’s also utterly disgusting and incredibly poorly run. We stayed here for one night (thank the gods) on our way back to the uk. Things did not bode well from the start. We checked in at 6pm, we went straight up to our room to find the maid still in the process of cleaning it (well the floor anyway) I wouldn’t have minded but the check in time was from 2pm. The maid was apologetic and really it’s not her fault but you would have thought the receptionist would know which rooms were available to guests. Said receptionist did make an appearance as we stood awkwardly outside our room but not to apologise, oh no, simply to natter to the maid. Pretty shambolic really. The room at first glance looked okay until you looked a little more closely. A filthy bed that frankly I didn’t want to sleep in but having already paid didn’t have much of a choice, a bathroom silicon job that frankly boggles the mind and someone else’s hair in our supposedly clean towels. Great, slow clap all round for that one. The air conditioning unit was older than time itself and didn’t work which, when you consider that one of the walls of the room is essentially glass and France is traditionally quite a warm country, does not make for a comfortable night. Unless of course you enjoy an up close and personal boil in the bag experience. Why didn’t you just open a window I hear you say? Well that would be because this hotel is literally in front of one of Rouen’s busiest roads and in between a fly over. So unless you can sleep through all of that vehicular symphony going on then I afraid it’s boil in the bag o’clock. The bed itself was shocking, so uncomfortable and i swear to god my skin is still crawling now. We woke up keen to get out of there but we had stupidly paid €9.70 each for their torrid attempt at breakfast. The bread was about the only thing that i could trust. They had a selection of cold meats that looked like they’d been procured from the morgue. Milk that looked like it was already cultivating cheese and a “Fresh” fruit salad that was half tinned fruit, had definitely been made up at least two nights prior and stored next to fish if the taste was anything to go by. I had a mouthful and didn’t have anymore. The glass centre console of the lift was smashed to smithereens and loosely covered by cardboard, a health hazard waiting to happen. There’s roadworks behind the hotel also. The car park use at your own risk, our vehicle was tampered with between 8am and 10am on the morning we left. The women on reception were about as much use as tits on a fish with helping us deal with it. This hotel is a disgrace and those running it are frankly rip off merchants if they think this is acceptable. I would not stay here again if you paid me. Awful.

- Booked online and obviously a very popular and busy hotel. Parking was quite hard but the receptionist spoke English and checked where we were parked due to being over subscribed. The hotel was in the midst of renovation so allowances needed to be made for this. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable enough to get a decent rest. Outside the town was full of noisy motorcycles but that was not the hotels fault. It took us a couple of go's to find the hotel as there was a lot of roadworks as well. I doubt we would choose this as a long stay but overnight fitted the purpose.

- After reading that many bad reviews I was a bit scared of what I was going to find. Fortunately when I got there I found a brand new elevator (that was the blank of many critics). The reception was recently painted and some work was going on in several parts of the hotel.
The room I got was very small, now so comfortable for two people. Cleanness was ok. Location wise: a bit apart from the center but still walking distance, about 10 minutes apart.
